England midfielder Declan Rice is dreaming of winning against Spain in Sunday's Euros 2024 final. As Gareth Southgate’s side prepare for a showdown with Spain, Rice has even hilariously vowed to sink his first proper beer if England win the Euros.
The Arsenal player, who lives a tee-total life, made the same pledge three years ago but didn't have to follow through with the claim after the Three Lions suffered an agonising defeat by Italy on penalties in the final.
Rice has played every minute of England’s campaign in Germany so far and will be a key player in deciding the outcome of Sunday’s final against Spain. Let's take a look at Declan's support off the pitch from his long-term girlfriend Lauren.
Often seen at Declan's matches, Lauren Fryer has become on of the famed WAGS, joining the likes of Kate Kane, Dani Dyer, Megan Pickford, Tolami Benson and Alison Southgate in the stands. With the final kicking off in Germany, there’s no doubt that Lauren will be among the players’ wives and girlfriends supporting the England team.
The loved-up pair have been together for eight years, which was revealed after Lauren posted a sweet snap of the pair in October 2021 when they celebrated their six year anniversary. They are childhood sweethearts after having met at school.
Lauren and Declan began dating at the age of 17 and have been together ever since. The WAG has remained by the footballer's side through every stage of his career so far, from debuting with West Ham to his big-money move to the Emirates.
Declan and Lauren now share one child together, a son called Jude who is approaching his first birthday, but didn't announce that they were expecting a baby as they prefer to keep their private life out of the spotlight. However, Lauren used to share some sweet snaps of the couple on her Instagram account.
While England player Declan, 25, didn't confirm his son's birth, he debuted a new tattoo during a West Ham match with the name of his newborn baby and the date he was born, 07.08.2022.
Lauren, who hails from Chessington, has a staggering 100K followers social media followers, despite recently wiping her Instagram page of photos following a barrage of horrific trolling back in April this year.
Lauren, 24, was targeted by cruel social media trolls who took aim at her appearance, claiming that Declan, whom she's been in a relationship with since they were 17, could "do better". Following these comments, Lauren deleted all of her Instagram posts.
Declan was then commended by football fans after he defended Lauren and stood by his long-term partner. Speaking at a press conference, Declan proudly called Lauren "real, funny, beautiful and kind" before adding he "loves her more than anything in the world".
When asked if he read the comments left on Lauren's Instagram, he replied: "My woman is the love of my life and there is no upgrade that exists for me."
Declan has often bought his nephew onto the pitch at West Ham who has been mistaken as his son in the past. The family also have a dog - Raffa the pooch - which Declan gifted Lauren for Christmas one year.
When Declan was crowned Young Player of the Year at the London Football Awards, Lauren gushed about how proud she was of her sportsman beau. She shared: "Couldn't be more proud of my Dec winning young player of the year. You deserve everything and more."
She also notably posted a sweet message to Declan after England's Euro 2020 final defeat to Italy. In the post alongside a snap of the pair with England flag face paints, she wrote: "You have done our country so PROUD!"
She added: "It wasn’t the result we had all hoped for but sometimes the journey is just as important, and what an insane life changing journey that was! Dec you’ve accomplished so much, to say I’m proud of you is an understatement."
There's no doubt that Lauren will join the other WAGS on Sunday to support from the sidelines as the Three Lions battle it out in the Euros 2024 final against Spain.
